Monitoring of land use

The State monitoring of lands is a system of observations of their condition and use. In the process of monitoring, information is collected that is necessary for making informed management decisions by state and local government bodies whose activities are aimed at ensuring the rational use and protection of land. This information is also necessary for the right holders of land plots — owners, land users, landowners and tenants of land plots to make decisions on the use of these plots for economic or personal purposes.

State monitoring of lands is a system of observations, assessment and forecasting aimed at obtaining reliable information about the state of lands, their quantitative and qualitative characteristics, their use and the state of soil fertility.

Monitoring of lands (hereinafter referred to as MOH) is carried out throughout the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, it covers all lands, regardless of the forms of ownership and forms of management carried out on them. In the process of MOH , the following tasks are solved:

Timely identification of changes in the state of the land, assessment and forecasting of these changes, development of proposals on the prevention of negative impacts on the land, on the elimination of the consequences of such impacts;

Provision of public authorities with information on the state of the environment in terms of the state of land in order to implement the powers of these bodies in the field of land relations, including the implementation of the powers of state land supervision (including for conducting an administrative survey of objects of land relations);

Provision of local self-government bodies with information on the state of the environment in terms of the state of land in order to implement the powers of these bodies in the field of land relations, including municipal land control;

Providing legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, citizens with information about the state of the environment in terms of the state of the land.
